Physical Description: Sterling silver hand mirror, round form with small loop handle, elaborate raised Art Nouveau-style swirl design, reserve for initials "GMC" on top.
Description: Sets of monogrammed sterling silver dressing table accessories, like hand mirrors, hair brushes, and combs, were popular among the well-to-do. Their designs often resembled those of flatware patterns; Grace Campbell's sinuous Art Nouveau hand mirror, engraved "GMC", evokes Whiting's 1880 "Heraldic" pattern. Grace chose similar patterns for her stylish dining room flatware and coffee-tea service.
