Physical Description: Rough abalone oval-shaped shell with small naturally formed holes and outdents running in a curved line near the edge and ending at a round raised point. The shell has rounded bumps that follow a similar curved pattern across the top of the shell. On the reverse side, the curved bumps are visible and it includes a rim along one edge.
Description: After Grace Campbell died in 1924 and her home became a museum, the family donated several small collections, probably amassed by Amasa B, Campbell (1845-1912). These ranged from souvenir paperweights and military ribbons, to a collection of seashells and mineral specimens gathered from regional mining sites.
