Description: | Frank Schindler founded Schindler's Limb and Truss Company (1916) to fill a unique medical need with dignity and compassion. Schindler and his employees understood amputees' problems; they all had lost limbs and wore prosthetics. At the Sprague Avenue store, the company produced over half of their personally-fitted prosthetics, including stump protectors and legs, artificial arms with hands, and corrective braces for scoliosis. Schindler's company, still in business today, was well known and served the entire Inland Northwest region. |
