Physical Description: Pink-mouthed Murex shell set in cardboard display box marked with specimen name, location and A.B. Campbell. The shell has a grey surface with small black bars protruding from it. The shell's overall shape is similar to a conch shell with a hollow interior and oval opening on the bottom. The interior is white and smooth.
Description: After Grace Campbell died in 1924 and her home became a museum, the family donated several small collections, probably amassed by Amasa B, Campbell (1845-1912). These ranged from souvenir paperweights and military ribbons, to a collection of seashells and mineral specimens gathered from regional mining sites.
