Description: | While African Americans Russell Hagin and Ethel Cage-Hagin raised their family in Spokane at mid-20th century, their nephew, local photographer Wallace Hagin, Jr. (1915-2006) was documenting the region's African American community with images of clubs and church groups, portraits and special occasions. An extensive Hagin family photograph collection also records the region's black community back to the late 19th century. |
