Physical Description: | Watercolor and ink on paper consisting of a rendition of grain elevators surrounded by a harvest season landscape. |
Description: | Regional artist Jay Steensma (1941-1994) would "paint anywhere, on anything." He loved the idea of whipping out drawings and paintings in a frenzy of creative energy, usually painting in shades of gray with small bits of primary colors for shock value. In this 1978 painting, he used watercolor and ink to capture the "Oakesdale Grain Elevators in Harvest Season" on paper. |
