Description: | In 1898 the Campbells contracted Cleveland interior decorator William Otis to specify furnishings for their new Spokane home. Otis selected high-quality wallpapers, floor coverings, window treatments, and major furnishings typical of those found in the homes of wealthy late 19th century families. The revival-style furniture was likely ordered from a Midwest manufacturer. The Campbell's front entry hall featured a gothic revival style including tapestries, a coat of arms, and carved ceiling beams and furniture, such as this lap robe chest. |
