Physical Description: | This unfinished quilt top is made of forty-two 11" blocks pieced from golden-yellow and white right triangles. The blocks were placed in an alternating arrangement, which creates a geometric pattern. Some blocks were pieced by hand and some were pieced by machine. |
Description: | Using only two colors and one basic shape, Elizabeth Thomas created a quilt top with a bold graphic design. She cut at least one triangle from a feed sack, then pieced some blocks by hand and some by machine. This pattern is often referred to as "North Wind." |
