Description: | This 1923 wool sweater documents North Central High School's black and red colors. Schools represent community identity and pride for hometowns across the Inland Northwest. In particular, high school sports draw entire communities to socialize and enjoy traditional rivalries and game rituals. With the loss of rural population since the mid-20th century, many regional schools have consolidated or created joint sports teams. |
