Description: This hand-tinted glass slide of Miss Spokane waving from an airplane was taken by Asahel Curtis and is part of a library of slides once used in presentations made by the Spokane Area Good Roads Association. The collection of several hundred slides was owned originally by Frank Guilbert, the first Secretary of the Spokane Area Good Roads Association, and the Inland Automobile Association. Most of the slides in the collection date from a period between 1910 and 1935, are of the Inland Northwest region and are road related. Many of the photos were taken by Mr. Guilbert and many others by Asahel Curtis, who also served as a volunteer and officer of the Good Roads Association.
