Description: | This medal marks Chicago's commemoration of the centennial of George Washington's oath as first President of the United States on April 30, 1789. After Amasa B. Campbell moved from the Youngstown, Ohio area to Wallace, Idaho in 1887, he made frequent business trips to Chicago and could have collected this paperweight there in 1889. |
