Physical Description: Silk satin gown with silk lining and silk gauze sleeves edged with pearls. The gown is edged with pearls in a 1 1/2 inch wide scroll design at sides and the train is embellished with pearls in a tapered scroll design. There is grosgrain on the inside of the waist. The decorations include a medallion on the center back, and a basket design with tiny artificial lily of the valley flowers on the bottom edge. There is one flower on each side and at the top of the basket. The dress also has a 3/4 inch belt ends with a cluster of pearls.
Description: Mary Jane White of Wallace married Ralph Semmes Gordon of Spokane on December 29, 1920 at the home of her cousin, Grace Campbell. She carefully preserved not only her wedding dress, veil, sash, shoes, stockings, undergarments, and gloves, but also her wedding cake topper, dove decorations, and tiny cake box for guests.
