Physical Description: Cotton gauze robe with drawstring neckline, wide sleeves, and applied rusty-red embroidered cotton panel with mirror insets.
Description: The Campbell family traveled to Egypt in 1903 and probably brought back these costumes as souvenirs. A photograph taken several years later captured Helen Campbell and her cousin Hazel Lease wearing the clothing (and smoking?) in front of the carriage house. Amazingly, the Campbell-Powell family kept the costumes intact until donating them to the Museum in 2007.
