Physical Description: | All the fabrics in this quilt are solid colored cotton sateen. The central motif is a large eight-pointed star, made of alternating diamonds in orange, and three shades of yellow. The background fabric, backing, and binding are pale yellow. It is pieced and quilted by hand. Cotton seed pods may be present in the batting. Full or partial eight-pointed stars against a grid make up the quilting design. |
Description: | A bold central medallion design in four shades of one color was a popular look during the 1930s. This quilt was likely made from a kit. |
