Description: | An astute observer of local, regional, and national politics, Shaw McCutcheon was The Spokesman-Review editorial cartoonist from 1950 to 1986. He majored in math at Harvard University, served as a B-17 weather officer during World War II, received art training at the Chicago Academy of Art, and then matched his father's long career as Chicago Tribune editorial cartoonist.
