Physical Description: | Small oblong drop-leaf, gate leg Asian style lacquered table, with end leaves which extend it to 55" long. It includes a black lacquered top and apron, that is somewhat marred, and three panel pictures, each with gold boarder, on top. The image on the first panel depicts birds, the second mountains and the third leaves, tree limbs and mums. There is one central drawer with two knobs and a panel with pictures of roses. There are gold butterflies in the apron corners. The table has eight gate legs and two stretchers in gold, red and black lacquer. |
Description: | In 1916 Grace Campbell expanded a section of her home's wrap-around veranda creating an enclosed sunporch overlooking the Spokane River. She filled the room with Asian-designs, decorative wallpaper above the room's many windows, whicker chairs, a lacquered table and Chinese rugs. |
