Description: | In October of 1949, when Charles Adams donated this rifle to the historical society, he attested that this Japanese rifle was "captured during the early days of the invasion of Iwo Jima. The landing was made by the Marines on the morning of February 19, 1945 and the rifle was captured during the few following days." |
