Description: | In 1898 the Campbells contracted Cleveland interior decorator William Otis to specify furnishings for their new Spokane home. Otis selected high-quality wallpapers, floor coverings, window treatments, and major furnishings typical of those found in the homes of wealthy late 19th century families. The Reception Room featured a French revival style including rose silk velour draperies embroidered with brass wire, silk moire wall panels, and this elaborate mirror, all still in place. |
