Physical Description: | Sterling silver candy dish. The center is engraved with an ornate "C". Sides are open work with applied garlands of flowers (roses). Ornate applied edge. Stands on three feet decorated in repousse rose design. |
Description: | The 1859 Comstock Lode discovery provided a large silver supply which coinsided with silver holloware and flatware becoming dining essentials. Grace Campbell owned an assortment of holloware pieces in various styles, occasionally monogrammed, like this candy dish marked "C." |
