Physical Description: This quilt is made of twenty blocks. Each block has a ring-shaped design, made from 18 wedge-shaped pieces of print fabric, which was appliqued by machine to a white background fabric. The backing and binding are also white, and it was quilted with white thread.
Description: Nevada Allison Cash Lyle Van Pelt (1869-1947) likely made this quilt near Lewiston, Washington, during the 1930s. The "Dresden Plate" pattern was very popular at the time. According to family history, Nevada made quilts as a source of income.
