Physical Description: Decanter set with handblown olive-green glass with hand painted polychrome floral decoration with matching small knob-stemmed liqueur or wine glasses, probably of German or Bohemian origin. Set of 4 decanters and 7 glasses. With matching hand carved light wood holder with central handle flanked by carved brackets, frame shaped to hold decanters in interior with spaces for 12 glasses around perimeter, also presumed to be of German or Swiss origin.
Description: Although Grace Campbell was said to be a "temperance woman," oral histories confirm that Amasa Campbell served spirits and cigars when entertaining friends and business associates in his Den game room. This hand painted Bohemian or German decanter and liqueur or wine glasses sat in a carved tray, at one time atop a heavily carved music box. The family collected numerous music boxes and may have purchased the glassware and music box set during their European travels.
