Description: | Following its opening in 1890, Davenport's Restaurant was a popular Spokane gathering place, updated in 1904 with a Mission Revival exterior and ornate interiors, such as the Italianate Hall of Doges, the Orange Bower men's bar, and Louis Davenport's own Art Nouveau apartment. By 1906, plans were afoot for a grand new Davenport Hotel, which opened in 1914 and incorporated the restaurant spaces. |
