Physical Description: Cardboard matchbook with striker strip and lettering. On the reverse side the exterior of the Davenport Hotel is illustrated along with more written information. Colors used are yellow and white on blue.
Description: Following its opening in 1890, Davenport's Restaurant was a popular Spokane gathering place. By 1906, plans were afoot for a grand new Davenport Hotel, which opened next door in 1914 and incorporated Davenport's Restaurant spaces. The hotel gained national recognition and hosted countless community, corporate, and personal events. In 2001 it was restored to its early glory.
