Physical Description: | Brown leather shoehorn with black dots around edge to simulate stitches. |
Description: | Restoration of the 1898 Campbell family home depended upon many sources. In addition to William Otis's interior decoration plan for the interiors, the family preserved a significant collection of photographs and business, household and personal records. The house itself also revealed information, from building fragments lodged in wall cavities, to historical "archaeological " finds discovered in cellar storage areas, under porches and radiators, and even underground in the yard. This shoe horn appeared under the stairs below the kitchen. |
