Description: | Dawn Mining Company operated the Midnite Mine on the Spokane Indian Reservation and a yellowcake processing mill in Ford, WA between 1955 and 1982. Contaminated structures, soil, and tailings have been buried into deep evaporation ponds at the mill site; the Midnite Mine was declared an EPA Super Fund site and cleanup is ongoing. |
