Physical Description: Velvet drapery set that is original to Campbell House. These drapes are floor length and made of pink rose velvet.
Description: In 1898 the Campbells contracted Cleveland interior decorator William Otis to specify furnishings for their new Spokane home. Otis selected high-quality wallpapers, floor coverings, window treatments, and major furnishings typical of those found in the homes of wealthy late 19th century families. The Reception Room featured a French revival style including rose silk velour draperies embroidered with brass wire. The original draperies and some of their brass-wrapped wooden drapery rods are still in place.
