Description: | Between 1900 and 1902, Renee Snider pieced this quilt from many late nineteenth-century cotton prints. Mrs. Snider lived on a homestead in Number 2 Canyon outside of Wenatchee, Washington, and died in childbirth soon after completing the top. In 1928, her sister-in-law, Trisha Moore, quilted and bound the quilt with the help of her children. They traced an oval platter and spoons for the quilting design; their outlines are clearly visible. |
