Physical Description: Two piece cardboard instructional chart for the identification of W. W. II airplanes. The two pieces attach in the center with a grommet. The upper piece has a window cut into it so that when rotated, it exposes 16 different American planes on the piece below. This "plane detector" is brightly painted with many colors.
Description: On the home front, people aided the war effort by learning to identify aircraft by shape and decoration. This 1942 Aircraft Identification Chart explained 16 different American airplanes.
