National Indian CongressThe National Indian Congress sponsored meetings in Spokane in 1925 and 1926. Tribes from the surrounding region and other parts of the country discussed treaty issues, conducted ceremonies, and created unity within the Indian communities. Many events occurred at the Glover Field encampment located near the foot of the Monroe Street Bridge in the Peaceful Valley neighborhood. |
